Television in general:

I am a former contributing member of "Friends of 7". In my opinion PBS channels have been corrupted by the same elite (read: parasite) influences that infect most major television networks in north america.

In my opinion, most ghetto-vision programming is crap. It's good business to screw the general population. I consider television a distorted source of world information. At worst programming is designed for the indoctrination of consumers using techniques such as omission, obscuration and preying on sublimated fears and bigotries. Often programming is nothing more than perverse cultural cliche.

"Star Trek" held my interest when I was a child. Late spinoff series suffered from too few original storylines milked excessively to generate episodes. Aliens degenerated into WASP GOBs in alien drag with funky attitudes. After a while I just stopped watching.

I no longer subscribe to cable television, preferring terrestrial broadcasts that can be received with an antenna. I watch hockey games when Canadian teams are playing and special news articles on CBC. In the evening I watch a movie on disc.
